When Grace Happens

August 3, 2022

On Daily Faith, Pastor Rick Long is joining us from Grace Church Arvada, Arvada, CO. With over 37 years of ministry, Pastor Rick is passionate about spreading the Gospel of Christ, the Good News, to all. Their motto is “hope for everyone and a home for everyone.” Grace Church Arvada has seen countless souls saved and baptized as the revelation of God’s grace is transforming lives daily. Pastor Rick shares how the grace of God is not bought with a human price; it’s costly and is for you. Jesus paid the highest price so that we could live in true freedom. It’s only by grace that we are saved through faith. Today, don’t quit or give up if you’re stuck and suffering in the middle of a storm. You’re growing; this storm is causing your roots to grow deeper in the grace of God. Pastor Rick has written a book entitled Grace Happens: When Ordinary Stories Become Extraordinary. This book reveals countless stories of the unexpected ways God gifts us with His grace in the middle of despair. Just as faith, hope, and love are yours, so is God’s grace. We encourage you to remain faithful by trusting God’s promise, as the hope of salvation becomes your home. The everlasting grace of God is made perfect in your weakness today!

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV

For over thirty years, we have rescued the lives of orphaned and abandoned children. In Moldova, the high death rate from alcohol abuse and poverty cause many families to send their children to live in an orphanage. These orphanages are packed with helpless babies to teenagers. They’re forced out at sixteen, unsure of what the next day will bring. Searching for a place to live, they are now subject to the risks of human trafficking. We have a village of homes called Vatra Village in Moldova and a former home in Odessa, Ukraine, that take in these unwanted children to provide and care for their needs. Through faith, God’s grace opened the door to a new home of salvation in Christ Jesus. God has restored their lives’ true freedom. They are no longer orphaned; these sons and daughters have become missionaries spreading the Good News of God’s love and mercy. They understand the needs of others and are tirelessly working to help bring food, blankets, and Bibles to the Ukrainian refugees. The power of the Holy Spirit enables them to keep going, revealing God’s sufficient grace in their weakness. We thank you for your generous giving and prayers as we continue to reach the lost.
